…and down.

It seems that it is not only my weight that is yo-yo-ing around lately.  Yesterday I was planning to run home from work, but drove instead as we were out of dog food and I needed to pick some up, I think I will drag out the exercise bike tonight and do some x-training.

Fat chance of that, after dinner, I was laying on the couch and there was no way I was moving…something about over-eating just causes the brain to go into an exercise blagh mode.  Just goes to prove that if I want to be motivated to exercise I need to be eating right…I just can’t over eat shit and expect to be motivated to get off my arse and do stuff.  It really is a lifestyle thing and can’t be compartmentalised.

Now for the psycho-analysis – why have I suddenly had the urge to eat more than I really should this week?  One theory I have had is that I have not been drinking enough water and perhaps this has been contributing to me not being able to close my mouth for extended periods of time and needing to graze continuously.  Right so now I have a full 1.25L water bottle at my desk…and think if all that extra exercise walking to the bathroom?  Perhaps I am also “rewarding” myself for a good week last week…now how stupid is that psychology.  Finally I think tiredness has something to do with it, so next week (starting now) I have to be conscious of drinking enough water and getting enough sleep.

I have really been churning out some extravagant and long winded posts since I said I was going to stop updating so regularly…seriously what is with that?…I am definitely in a weird mood this week…ran the long way to work this morning in the drizzle, wasn’t too bad, kept the pace slow, but also had a bit of a niggle in the right quad.

I was going to go the the Eagles game against the Crows this weekend with a friend but the game was sold out, so instead I have managed to secure a members ticket.  I am a little uncertain about whether a depleted Eagles midfield can provide enough thrust around stoppages to beat the crows.

  • Where’s my ticket?!!

  • Can’t believe that you didn’t want to run home with a bag of dog food under your arm! You had such a fantastic run the other day that I can understand why you don’t want to test your new found magical powers until you are ready to blitz in your sub-4 marathon.
