200km+ runner

That’s right people, this morning running to work I busted through the 200km barrier for a month.  Does that make me a serious runner yet?

Yes, I am now financially committed to the Adelaide Marathon and have all ready had commitments of about $100 dollars in sponsorship for the Muscular Dystrophy Association from a few people at work…as a bonus this should give me at least 1 chance to win a trip to London including entry into the London marathon…where there is a chance there is always hope…you have to be in it to win it and all of that.

So this mornings run to work, 10.7km, was pleasant enough, though a little windy.  My weekend race/long run program is almost ready for posting, the decision not to do all races available was made easier by financial obligations starting to mount up in preparations for a wedding on the 5th April 2008 (that’s right it is booked in people)…just found out I have to replace the gearbox in TFMS’s car…ouch.  Tightening the belts has the added bonus of helping with this whole FF business…can’t afford to go out for dinner, get take-away, or hit the turps because…hey, we’re saving for a wedding now.  Just lucky I got my marathon entry in before the belts were tightened ;).

  1. mention the word wedding and the price goes up 50% I reckon … good luck keeping within the wedding budget – glad I don’t have to do that again 🙂

  3. Glad you’ve kept March 8 free for Six Foot.

You should go the ‘Vegas holiday no guests’ wedding. They have a marathon there you know 😉
